My passion for hiking is definitely on the rise. Especially since I moved to Tenerife I can’t help but dreaming of new rocky adventures. Below I list 3 hiking places where you can reconnect with nature.
Hiking Duration: 2-3 hours one way
This is a great hike that you can do around Los Gigantes / Guia de Isora (marked on the map above).
It’s called Masca and is one of the most popular but also most beautiful hikes that you can do in Tenerife. One of the most attractive features is that the hike ends on a secluded beach – an amazing reward after a sweaty activity.
Hiking Duration: 2 to 6 hours, depending on the path selected
Anaga is another great place to hike. At the extreme north of the island, just after Santa Cruz, the island of Tenerife hides a huge forest called Anaga.
Hiking Duration: 2 to 8 hours, depending on the path selected
Teide is an active volcano but also Spain’s highest point.
You can get lost in a myriad of paths up to 2,000 meters, hike to the top of 3,5000 meters or admire the amazing sea of clouds phenomenon.
And not only this is an amazing place for hiking during the day but it’s also one of the best places in Europe for stargazing.
